Attractions

San Francisco is packed with memorable sites, activities and neighborhoods for you to explore. Right outside the doors of the SW Hotel is Chinatown, the largest Chinese community on the West Coast. Chinatown offers a colorful array of shops, outdoor markets, restaurants, and more.

Just around the corner is historic North Beach, home of San Francisco’s vibrant Italian community. Explore this neighborhood for a true taste of San Francisco, featuring historic institutions like City Lights Books and Vesuvio’s, plus great shops, entertainment, and plenty of fine Italian cuisine.

Downtown San Francisco’s prime shopping destination, Union Square, is just minutes from our hotel. Union Square features many of California’s top department stores, plus boutiques, restaurants, fine art galleries, theaters, and much more. Union Square is also the site of the historic San Francisco cable cars.

Also close by are two of San Francisco’s major waterfront attractions, Fisherman’s Wharf and Pier 39. Fisherman’s Wharf is a uniquely San Franciscan combination of shopping, street performers, music, seafood restaurants, cruises on the Bay, and more. Pier 39 features over one hundred shops and restaurants, plus live nightly entertainment, and an up-close view of San Francisco’s sea lions.
